Arts & Tech Program

Arts & Technology

We believe the infusion of the arts with technology will support and enhance the needs of our students. Within the arts community, we collaborate with locally-based artists and institutions to provide professional development to staff within the areas of; dance/movement, music, visual arts, theater, writing, and computers. We promote opportunities for the Miami-Dade community to experience local artists and performers in various venues, as well as striving to bring artists and performers to our school for special events. The artistic and technological opportunities support students so they become engaged in learning at high levels in a rich learning environment.

Social Development

Academic success is measurable with data. Tests, grades on papers and projects, report cards, yearly test data, entrance exams to high schools, colleges and universities all provide good data regarding a student’s academic status. Yet, success exceeds numbers on reports. It is necessary to teach and allow time for children to practice social development skills as they develop within their social environment. Whether it is through play, class projects, literature discussions, or through using technology, students will learn these Life Skills while attending our school. Examples of social development topics are listed below.

  • Effective Communication
